Titus received intense backlash from netizens following this incident, with many saying that he should not have behaved like that, especially as a married man.[32] Both Ms Puiyi and Cheryl have since cleared the air, stating that the whole incident was a “misunderstanding”.[32]

Cheryl later clarified that the video of her crying was from “a previous mental breakdown” and apologised again for “airing [her] dirty laundry”.[33] She also said that she was “aware” of the potential collaboration between Ms Puiyi and Titus.[33]

Ms Puiyi and her team also released a statement saying that they “will not be uploading any collaborations or any teasers or any collaborations in any near future until the issues are resolved.”[34]

Titus himself released a TikTok video addressing the incident.[35] In it, he reiterates the communication issue between the three parties involved and said that he would “take care to ensure that [it] will not happen again”.[35]
