Andrea Chong (born 25 March 1992), also known as Drea Chong, is a professional Singaporean blogger and influencer. As of July 2020, she has more than 307,000 followers on Instagram and over 5,400 subscribers on YouTube. As a social media personality, she has been selected as a brand ambassador for H&M[1] and Pandora.[2] In 2015, she received the 'Fashion Icon of the Year' award at the Singapore Social Media Awards which had acknowledged other Singaporean content creators like Night Owl Cinematics and Munah Hirzi Official.[3]

Personal life
Andrea Chong married the Singaporean lawyer, Imran Rahim in March 2020.[4] The couple started dating when they were both students at Victoria Junior College and have been engaged since 2018.[5] Andrea announced her pregnancy on Instagram in September 2020.[6]
Education
Andrea Chong was a student at Zhonghua Secondary School and Victoria Junior College. She furthered her studies in English Literature at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) but deferred her degree to focus on her budding career as blogger-influencer.[7]

As of 2020, Andrea Chong is a professional blogger who runs her website, The DC Edit, with a small team of full-timers and interns.[8][9] She also has several successful entrepreneurship endeavours with brands like the Italian footwear label, Superga.
Blogging
Andrea started her blog in 2013 while pursuing her degree in NTU.[10] In a 2014 interview with Senatus, she shared that she had been encouraged by the producers of Clicknetwork to reach out to her audience through a platform outside of YouTube.[11] In 2015, HippoNetwork ranked the site as the top 'Fashion Blogger Singapore' in terms of Google searches.[12][13] Andrea Chong has worked with numerous clientele ranging from airlines like AirAsia and Qatar Airways to lifestyle and fashion brands like Kate Spade and Adidas.[14] Apart from client advertorials, the site has a section dedicated to Andrea's personal reflections and life updates.[15]
Product collaborations
In 2018, Andrea Chong and her team conceptualised and launched #DCHoliday - a festive collection of Andrea Chong's brand merchandise.[16] Comprising of a DC Planner (designed by Andrea and Shilin Chen) and a DC chocolate bar, the collection was launched in November 2018.[17] The following is a list of her collaborations in recent years.

Personal advocacy
Andrea Chong has lent her support to several social causes in Singapore and overseas. She has worked with the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre and the Singapore Girls’ Home.[32] In December 2018, Andrea Chong and her father volunteered overseas with Operation Hope Foundation where she distributed clothing and school supplies to primary school students at a rural village in Siem Reap, Cambodia.[33]
