Naomi Yeo (born in 1994) is a Singaporean bilingual actress, host, voice artist and radio presenter.[1] Since making her acting debut at the tender age of seventeen, Naomi has been cast in numerous local films and web series.[2][3] She has also worked with a few brands on their advertising campaigns. This includes brands like By Invite Only, Moxie The Store, The Tinsel Rack and Love & Bravery.[4][5] She is engaged to Benjamin Kheng following his proposal in New Zealand in March 2020.[6]

Background

Family

Naomi was born to Sam Yeo and Cindy Ang in 1994.[7] She has a brother - Nigel Yeo.[8] Her mother is the owner of Design Point Interiors.[9][10]

Education

Naomi was enrolled in Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s School of Film & Media Studies from 2010 to 2014.[11] In 2011, she attended a camp hosted by Radio Heatwave, the campus radio station.[12]

Engagement to Benjamin Kheng (2020)

Benjamin and Naomi made their relationship public in September 2019.[13] Before that, they had worked on projects together as colleagues and fellow cast members. In March 2020, Benjamin and Naomi posted photos of their engagement onto their respective Instagram accounts.[14][15] The proposal had been captured by New Zealand-based photographer, Phoenix Casuarina. Benjamin had proposed to Naomi at Lindi Pass in Southern New Zealand.[16][17] The couple had been on holiday at the time. It was also revealed that Benjamin had asked Naomi's parents for their blessings four months prior to his proposal.[18]

987 Radio Star (2012)

In 2012, Naomi joined the 987 Radio Star competition where she had been shortlisted as a Top 5 finalist alongside Sonia Chew.[19] Sonia emerged as the winner of the competition that year.[20]

987FM Radio Presenter

In August 2013, Naomi took on an internship at Mediacorp 987 where she was involved in the production of ‘The Muttons’ show.[21][22] At the time, she was also a part-time presenter on the radio station.[23] She left the radio station in June 2015, only to return in January 2018.[24] As of March 2020, Naomi is a permanent presenter on 987FM’s Saturday morning show.[25]

Naomi's debut role in That Girl in Pinafore (2012) kickstarted her career in acting. Since then, she has built a repertoire as an actress across various mediums.
