Born1997

Lukeychan, the online alias of Singaporean influencer Luke Chan, is a content creator, entrepreneur, and former restaurateur, recognized for his comedic, lifestyle, and relationship-themed videos on TikTok. He is known for his engaging storytelling style and relatable content, which has garnered a substantial following both in Singapore and internationally.[1][2] As of 2025, Chan has over 133k followers on his Instagram and 200k followers on his TikTok.[3][4]

Early life

Luke Chan grew up in Singapore and developed an interest in digital media and content creation from a young age. Details about his formal education have not been widely publicized, but he has leveraged his personal experiences and creativity to establish a strong social media presence.[1]

Family

In a 2023 episode of The Daily Ketchup Podcast, Chan discussed his family background. He stated that his parents divorced when he was in Primary 2 and he was raised by his single mother. He was not close to his father, whom he described as an alcoholic and a gambler.[5]

Chan recounted a traumatic childhood incident where he witnessed his father physically abuse his mother. In a separate event, his intoxicated father threatened to jump from a window with his mother. Chan recalled that his own cries for his mother caused his father to leave the house, after which Chan never saw him again.[5]

Personal life

While Chan has not publicly disclosed the exact start date of his relationship with his girlfriend, Yuki, they have been featured together in various social media posts and videos, including a joint appearance on The BIG Show TV in 2025[6], specific details about the beginning of their relationship remain private.

Falling into drug addiction

Chan was diagnosed with eczema during his early teenage years. The condition caused significant physical discomfort and mental distress, leading to insecurity and social isolation. He described avoiding social situations due to the "judgy eyes" from others and the fear of his skin becoming itchy and embarrassing. To cope with these insecurities and the pain of his condition, Chan turned to drugs around the age of 14 or 15. His addiction escalated to hard drugs, which he used to feel "good and confident." He has stated that his drug addiction ultimately worsened his eczema, creating a vicious cycle where he used drugs to numb himself, caring only about his next high.[7]

A heartfelt plea from his mother, who was at her "wits' end," became the catalyst for change. Chan decided to get clean, going cold turkey by deleting his suppliers' contacts and cutting off friends involved with drugs. He also signed up for a gym membership to distract himself from drug cravings, calling the process difficult but achievable with determination. After recovering, Chan found that his skin improved significantly. He dedicated himself to finding the right products to manage his eczema, eventually incorporating the QV Dermcare Eczema Daily range into his skincare routine to help repair his skin barrier and reduce flare-ups.[7]

Chan uses his platform to share his story and offer hope. He advises others with eczema not to blame themselves or see themselves as "of lower value than other people." He views his eczema scars as a reminder of the hole he climbed out of and feels grateful to use his past to potentially change someone else's life for the better.[7]

Viral TikTok videos

Chan is best known for his TikTok videos, where he uploads sketches and short-form content focused on humor, dating, and daily life in Singapore. His content style blends comedy, satire, and relatable scenarios, appealing to younger audiences. As of 2025, Chan's TikTok has accumulated a total of over 9.8 million likes. His most-viewed video has garnered over 4.1 million views[8], with another popular video reaching 3.2 million views[9]. Several of his other skits and short-form videos have also surpassed one million views each.

Chan also maintains an active presence on Instagram, where he posts lifestyle content and comedic skits. He has collaborated with local and regional brands for digital campaigns, including Shein, Heng Watch, and the Revolut. Chan often teams up with fellow creators, including Fah Chatchaya Suthisuwan (@fahhaha_) and Simon Boy (@simonboyyyyyyy). A collaborative skit with Chatchaya amassed over 1.6 million likes[10] while in another collaboration with Simon Boy, they visited an SAF Barracks to share their experiences and raise awareness about drugs.[11]

Titan Academy

Chan is a cast member of the YouTube series Titan Academy, where he portrays the character Zachary F. Ron, a new student in Class T1-T5 .[12]

Zachary is characterized as a rude, obnoxious, and ill-mannered student who is often disrespectful to both his classmates and teachers. His behavior is described as childish and petulant, frequently blaming others for problems he causes himself. A defining trait is his lack of a sense of direction, which leads to his signature running gag of repeatedly asking, "Where is my class?" despite having his schedule with him.[13]

A key moment in his character arc reveals that his antagonistic behavior, particularly towards the studious character Ren Yi Xiang (Portrayed by Ridhwan Azman), stems from envy and insecurity. Despite showing a brief soft side, Zachary's confrontational nature escalates to the point where he was expelled from Titan Academy after his exam results were released. As of December 2024, his character has been excluded from all school activities within the series.[13]

Founder of PastaPapa (2024 - 2025)

In December 2024, Chan ventured into the food and beverage (F&B) industry by opening PastaPapa, a pasta restaurant located at the Bukit Merah Sports Lifestyle Centre. The restaurant featured an interactive “cook-your-own-pasta” concept, allowing diners to prepare their own meals at the table using instructional videos and chef equipment provided for the experience. The concept was developed in partnership with Jayden Loh, owner of DLLM Lok Lok, and two other business partners, with a combined investment of approximately S$50,000.[2]

PastaPapa operated for less than a year, closing on 5 August 2025 due to personal family health challenges faced by Chan. He cited his mother’s stage four cancer diagnosis, his girlfriend’s mother suffering from stage three bone marrow cancer, and the recent death of his grandfather as factors influencing his decision to step away from the restaurant to prioritize family.[2]

Despite its brief operation, PastaPapa attracted media attention and a loyal following among Chan’s fans due to its innovative dining concept. His venture demonstrated his entrepreneurial initiative and willingness to combine his personal brand with creative business ideas. Lukeychan’s ability to integrate social media influence with physical experiences in the F&B industry has been highlighted in multiple media reports.[1][2]
