Trevor Tham (Singapore YouTuber)

Trevor Tham (born 12 August 1993)[1][2][3] is a Singaporean content creator and social media influencer. He is the co-founder of the YouTube channel, Trevmonki and frequently features on JianHao Tan’s channel as a guest actor.[4][5] As of September 2020, he has over 219,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel and over 77,000 followers on Instagram.

Education

Trevor Tham is an alumnus of Zhangde Primary School and Outram Secondary School. He studied at Ngee Ann Polytechnic from 2011 to 2014, graduating with a diploma in molecular biotechnology from the School of Life Sciences & Chemical Technology.[6][7]

Personal life

Trevor Tham was in a relationship with Samantha Ashley Tay, a dance instructor.[8] As of September 2020, they have been dating for over four years but recently broke up.[9][10] Trevor and Samantha met while she was his senior in New Revolving Age (NRA), a hip-hop dance club in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.[11] Trevor is also a fan of the KPOP idol group, BTS,[12] having made a dance concept video for his choreography to the group's track, Best Of Me.[13]

Trevor Tham is the Creative Director of Studiomonki, a film production studio that manages the Trevmonki YouTube channel and creates content such as short films and advertisements for various clients.[4][14] He is also a partner and Creative Producer at Titan Digital Media.[4][15]

As of September 2020, Trevmonki is a YouTube channel under JianHao Tan's Titan Digital Media with over 48 million total views. Trevor Tham first founded the Trevmonki YouTube channel with Leonard Lau in October 2013.[16] Trevmonki uploads a variety of content such as comedic skits, web series, short films and travel vlogs. Besides helming the creative direction for the YouTube channel, Trevor also appears in its videos. At the time of writing (September 2020), the channel’s most-watched video, “New Relationship VS Old Relationship” which Trevor acted in, has amassed almost three million views.[17]

As the Creative Director for Studiomonki, Trevor has directed and produced short films for both television and YouTube. He directed the Chinese-language drama, “The Encounter”, a romantic comedy that aired on Mediacorp Channel U and meWATCH in April 2019.[18] Trevor was also the director for “Pride”, a short film that won the title of Asia’s Best Picture in Aputure’s Light This Location competition in 2019.[19] [20] The following is a list of Trevor’s filmography over the years.
