Nadia Ahmad Samdin (born 1990) is a Singaporean lawyer. Active in community service, she is a board member for various non-profit organisations in Singapore. She is also a district councillor at the South East Community Development Council and a panel adviser to the Youth Court.[1] In June 2020, Nadia Samdin was announced as the youngest People's Action Party (PAP) candidate in the 2020 General Elections.[2]

Background

Nadia Ahmad Samdin is an Associate Director at TSMP Law Corporation where she had first started out as an intern.[3][4] Before pursuing a full-time career in law, Nadia was a current affairs producer at the news network, Channel NewsAsia.[5]

Education

Nadia Ahmad Samdin was a student at Victoria Junior College and subsequently studied law at Singapore Management University.[6] In 2015, Nadia Ahmad Samdin received the SMU Alumni Rising Star award at the SMU Alumni Recognition Ceremony for her achievements in the public sphere.[7]

Community service

Nadia Ahmad Samdin has been involved in volunteer work since she was 15 years old.[8] Since then, she has been involved in numerous community organisations like the National Youth Council (NYC) and the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO).[9] Nadia is also a board member on the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday Memorial Scholarship Fund Board and the Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry.[10] She has also initiated the Lembaga Biasiswa Kenangan Maulud (LBKM) School Top-up Fund to benefit underprivileged children in Singapore.[11][12]
