In an interview about her career, Sakura said DJ‑ing was not her childhood ambition and she knew little about clubbing until she turned 18. She was scouted by a female DJ agency that thought she had the right look and energy; she signed a two‑year contract, took DJ classes arranged by the agency, and quickly began getting gigs, later extending her contract as she realised she enjoyed the work.

Sakura has mentioned that her mother did not approve of DJ‑ing and preferred that she take a “traditional and stable 9‑to‑6 job,” but Sakura chose to continue in nightlife, describing herself as willing to “hustle” while she is young.

DJ to Onlyfans

During the pandemic, as nightlife venues closed and live performances were disrupted, Sakura’s DJ work was significantly impacted.
