Elaine Jasmine Heng (born 1992) or Elaine Rui Min is an online influencer and model. She used to go by the moniker Elaine Jasmine but presently goes by Elaine Rui Min online. As of 4 August 2022, she has over 157,000 followers on Instagram.[1] She also helms a YouTube channel where she uploads travel and lifestyle vlogs; it currently has over 4,020 subscribers.[2]

Elaine Heng is part of a family of six and is the oldest out of 4 siblings. She has 2 sisters and a brother, Jocelyn, Eden, and Samuel Heng.[3][4] She is also currently married to Gabriel Na, who is an architectural associate at DP Architects.[5][6]
Education
Elaine Heng was enrolled in the National University of Singapore (NUS), where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies, back in 2014.[7] Prior to that, she also attended Nanyang Junior College and CHIJ (Toa Payoh).[7]
Career
Pawsome Kennels (2021 to Present)
In an Instagram post from 5 April 2022, Elaine Heng revealed that she has been working full-time managing operations and marketing at Pawsome Kennels, a Singapore dog daycare and boarding centre.[8] She is also a certified dog groomer at the centre.[9]

Elaine Heng is a social media influencer who has over 157,000 followers on Instagram.[1] She often models for and collaborates with brands including Häagen-Dazs, Lazada, and Yole.[10][11][12]
ilo the label (2020 to Present)

On 16 February 2020, Elaine Heng launched her clothing business, ilo the label or ilo for short.[13] The store specialises in hand-drawn watercolour prints that adorn its clothing. However, the shop has gone on a temporary hiatus since February 2021.[13]
Acting (2018)
In May 2018, Elaine Heng starred as the female lead of a Toggle series, @StarCrossed.[14][15] She played Si En, a star-struck fangirl caught in a love triangle. The series lasted 10 episodes, each 18-23 minutes long.

Newsworthy incidents
Mistaken for a woman in a leaked sex tape (2018 to 2019)

In 2018, a netizen uploaded a sex tape and pointed out Elaine Heng as the woman in the video.[16] This immediately resulted in a lot of similar rumours and allegations towards Elaine.
Later on in the year, the video was re-posted on Weibo, which exacerbated the rumours and suspicion that surrounded this issue.[16]
Further sexual harassment
On 30 December 2018, Elaine posted a lengthy Instagram post on the negative and traumatic backlash that she experienced as a result of this incident.[17] In particular, she received many requests for “sex services” along with explicit photographs of male genitalia.[17] Other users also jeered at her through comments online, such as “check it out. Elaine giving a blowjob!” according to Elaine.[17]
With regards to the sexual harassment, Elaine has since made a police report and hoped that her post would help to clarify the truth and empower others suffering from cyberbullying, sexual harassment, and other acts that might threaten them.[17]
“I ended up crying for many days as I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t sleep for many nights because I was so afraid of it spreading and I felt so helpless because it’s the internet and I can’t control what spreads.”[17]
Online saga with By Invite Only (2018)

Elaine Heng is perhaps most well known for her online dispute with the founder of By Invite Only, Trixie Khong.[18] Back then, she went by the name of Elaine Jasmine online.[18] According to the business owner, Elaine had essentially disappeared online for the next 3-4 weeks, after receiving payment and the products for the paid partnership. Even after delaying the product post for personal reasons, she failed to follow up with the paid agreement.
Unable to contact Elaine, Trixie took to Instagram and Facebook to call Elaine out for her “blatant unprofessionalism”.[18] To this, Elaine privately messaged her on 14 April and was lacklustre in her response. She requested for Trixie to take down the post, which the latter refused to do so to alert other businesses that might approach Elaine for partnerships in the future.[18]
On the same day, Elaine opened an Instagram Live, where she clarified that she had already refunded the money and returned the products to Trixie Khong.[18] She then proceeded to criticise By Invite Only’s products that were sent to her, saying they were “flimsy” and poorly made, which was why she did not want to promote it to her own followers.[18]
“I just take it as a learning lesson. I use the criticism in a positive way in the sense that if what others are saying about me is true, I’d take note and work on improving myself. But if they are just out to hurt me, I’d shut them off.”[15]
Other business owners speak up
Despite Elaine’s defence and clarification, several other business owners who had previously worked with her began speaking up online as well.[18] This included the owner of Vivre Active Wear, Sylvia Lim and Regina Pek who had sold Elaine a dress.[18] Most of them corroborated what Trixie Khong had accused Elaine of, in particular the poor attitude and communication she maintained with regards to brand partnerships.[18]
