Yeo Wan Ling (born 1976) is the chief executive officer of the social enterprise, Caregiver Asia.[1] Caregiver Asia is an online platform that matches freelance caregivers to those who require care. In June 2020, she was announced as a People's Action Party (PAP) candidate in the 2020 General Elections and contested in the Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC.[2][3] As of 10 July 2020, she is an elected Member of Parliament (MP).
Background
Yeo Wan Ling started up Caregiver Asia to provide greater home-care services in particular, for the elderly and the infirm.[4] In a video published on 30 June 2020, she shared that Caregiver Asia had been inspired by her family's experience when caring for her ailing grandmother.[5] Before co-founding Caregiver Asia in 2014, Yeo Wan Ling worked at the Economic Development Board (EDB) as a civil servant for over 13 years.[6] She started her career at the Development Bank of Singapore (DBS).[7]

Yeo Wan Ling was a student at Raffles Girls Secondary School and subsequently, Raffles Junior College.[8] She graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1998 with a double degree in sociology and political science.[9]

Yeo Wan Ling was introduced as a People's Action Party (PAP) candidate on 25 June 2020.[10] On the PAP website, she is quoted to have said:
"Always be true to myself; listen with open ears and see with non-judgmental eyes. Most of all, to always remember why I decided to join the People’s Action Party - that is to serve the community."[11]
The People's Action Party team won Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC with 64.15 per cent of the votes.[12]
