The dog’s owner, Tanish Dhillon, had arranged for Buddy’s monthly grooming, with pickup by Pawsome and drop‑off at the salon at about 9:14 am on 30 October. CCTV footage shown to the owner allegedly shows Buddy in a cage from about 9:50 am, whining and attempting to push his head and paws through the bars for around 10 minutes. The owner, Renne Chow, stated that when she asked for CCTV footage, Pawsome replied that the entire secondfloor surveillance system “had been sent for repair for two weeks”. The business attributed the injury to a golden retriever also under their care, but the owner disputed this.
