In late 2019, Ms Puiyi decided to send her laptop for repairs and later discovered that the device was hacked into.<ref name=":1" />

The hackers also got into her google drive accounts, which gave them access to unreleased, personal nude photos.<ref name=":1" /> Ms Puiyi was able to confirm this after concerned fans reached out to her to say that they had received suspicious-looking emails from her.
