In his youth, Ngor encountered legal troubles: according to an interview, he was sentenced in 2020 to 21 months in prison for “causing grievous hurt with weapons” and also received corporal punishment (three strokes of the cane). WUKONG's debut EP, The Almighty, was released in January 2019 under Rude Mood Records.
