Ken Lim, a Singaporean music producer and former judge on ''Singapore Idol'', was convicted in 2025 of molesting a 25-year-old woman at his Hype Records office in 2021. He was sentenced to 13 months’ imprisonment, while five other charges involving three different women were withdrawn.<ref name=":0">Alkhatib, Shaffiq. The offence occurred during the woman’s third meeting with Lim. According to the victim’s testimony, at the first two meetings Lim made suggestive comments. At the third meeting he asked the woman to kiss him. She complied but stated she made a “disgusted face” after doing so. Lim then asked her to kiss him again “with more passion”, and during this second kiss he placed his hand on her chest. The woman pulled away in shock and refused further advances.<ref name=":0" /><ref name=":1" />
