Edward Chia Bing Hui (born 1984) is the co-founder and managing director of the food and beverage company, Timbre Group. In June 2020, he was announced as a People's Action Party (PAP) candidate for the 2020 General Elections.[1]

Background

Edward Chia co-founded Timbre Group at 21 years old as an undergraduate.[2] In 2004, he won the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) Gold Award.[3]

Early life & family

Edward Chia was born in 1984 to a father who ran an events company and a mother who was a housewife.[4] He has two younger siblings.

Education

Edward went to Maris Stella High School.[5] He then studied at National Junior College before furthering his studies at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He graduated with a double degree in Economics and Political Science.[6]
